Alan D. Schmidgall

Alan Schmidgall is President and co-founder of Schooner Financial Associates.  Alan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in 1983 and an MBA in finance from Arizona State University in May of 1985.  Alan’s career in financial planning began in August of 1985 and in addition to his MBA he holds Series 6, 7, 24, 63, and 65 securities licenses as well as being licensed for Life Insurance and Annuities.

In 1993 Alan co-founded Schooner Financial Associates with Brad Parish.  Their goal was to create a firm where high quality financial representatives could provide comprehensive financial planning to clients as independent advisors.  While adhering to strict industry guidelines, independent advisors can offer an unbiased array of products and services to their clients thus serving the goals of the client, not the goals of a captive or proprietary financial firm.

Alan accepts new clients on a referral basis only to limit the number of accounts, ensuring that existing clients receive first class service and communication, resulting in life-long relationships with his clientele.
